Rigby Barnes, a proud descendant of the Guugu Yimithirr people from Hope Vale on Cape York Peninsula, draws inspiration from a 65,000-year-old linguistic heritage that first introduced the world to the word "kangaroo".

Witnessing the declining use of his ancestral language, Rigby created Gangurru Beverages as a powerful platform to preserve and celebrate Indigenous culture, transforming each can into a storytelling vessel that connects modern Australia with its ancient roots.
